You'd think the most important thing known to man would be as simple as possible so as not to be mistaken.

Instead, it is hidden well in thousands thick pages of a book called a Bible.

Please don't say, God only wants those who are trying? What about vegetable humans unable to read all that, or those really pressed for time, trying to find out how to get saved, oh, skip it, last few hours of life?

Could take days to read the whole thing!

What is so confusing, John 3:16 says it all, even a child can understand that. "For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but have everylasting life". This is call the Bible in a Verse . If that is too hard try Roman 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". As for those that you call vegetable humans, they had their chance before they became that way, if they missed it, it is their doing not anyone elses. No one will leave this life without a chance to except Jesus. Even if God has to send a angel to tell you about Him, all will have a chance to except. Bible Fact. Read it, you will be amazed. Those who can't understand because of inability or age are under Grace

How about this...read Romans 1: 18-32, Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, then John 3:16-18, and John 1:12, 5:24

That's the whole idea in a nutshell.
You can know God from creation. You can know God through your conscience.
When you come to the realization that God needs to be reckoned with...the answer is Jesus.
Accepting Jesus' sacrifice for your personal sin...is salvation (being saved) the attitude of gratitude for what He has done for your is sanctification (He works on you) then when He returns as He has promised, you go to heaven (glorification).
That's the deal.

Okay, I don't want to sound prideful, but I've been through 7 years of religious training (4 of them at Yale University, the other three post-grad at Wheaton) and I read the entire Bible through ever 2-3 months. When I was younger, I could have told you an easy 3-step program to salvation. Now, I have no clue how someone is saved. I have a closer relationship with God than I have ever had before, but I don't know how someone is saved! Jesus said to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

Oh my, you dear soul, It is easy, Jesus is the way, trust in Him and He will keep you safe in the palm of His hands. When you get confused, dear one, just keep your eyes upon Jesus. Trusting Him with your life and soul is just as simple as trusting your mom. All, the understanding of the Bible can take years to develop, don't be discouraged child of God. God loves you and He will lead you in the right path over time. Enjoy your salvation, my friend, Jesus is not a burden. The Bible can take years to understand and that is OK. I have a really good Bible teacher I listen to on the radio but he has a website at www.ttb.org you can listen to his teachings online, check under "archives" Right now he just started in the Book of John, a great place to start. It takes this fellow 5 yrs to go through the entire Bible verse by verse. But you will understand it much better and confusion will fly out window. Hope you check it out. God Bless

I don't think it is confusing at all. If one wants to be saved, it is quite simple. One asks for forgiveness of their sins, and asks Jesus Christ to come into their heart by faith. Then find a Bible believing church, buy yourself a Bible; I read the Old King James Version. Go to church; read your Bible and pray each day to God(you can pray for daily strength, pray for your family and friends, what goes at work, whatever you want to ). The key word is faith. To believe that God is real, believe in the Trinity. The more you read and pray the stronger spiritually you become. It's not confusing at all. There is a devil, just as there is the Holy Trinity...

Whats so hard about it? Just repent to you Sins and ask God to be your savior! The Bible is there to guide you through your Christian life, not be the source of your salvation. Jesus is the source, the Bible is the guide to the source. Now, its not easy being a Christian, thats for sure, but its important to keep on repenting and asking God for forgiveness, and to pray, oh, you gotta pray. Thats fundamental to any relationship, is staying in contact.

Becoming "saved" doesn't happen in an instant.... it is an ongoing prossess, though few people see it that way.

In the christian (and catholic if you seperate the two) religions you must "let Jesus enter your heart" and then you have to live the life "following him".

You cannot one day say "I believe in Jesus, let him into my life," blah blah blah and be saved, you are supposed to live it and work at it.

Being "saved" was never supposed to be easy.

If you think it's too complex I'll show you where the whole thing is simplified:
Acts 16:31
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

That should cove it for you... Jim
