Oh yes, this is one of the most disgusting things about Christianity. These people think it is fine to wish for you to die and spend an eternity in torture. Lovely. This is a religion of tolerance, love, and forgiveness. Too bad its followers can't understand that.

That is the link to a question that someone asked pertaining to his throwing a bible on a fire. Several people made comments saying he would burn in hell for eternity. For burning a book.

Over the course of history Christianity's leaders have dealt much judgement and sent many to their deaths in the name of Christ. It is only recent developement in history that Christianity truly is supposed to stand for peace. There is a simple and I thought well known scripture that tells followers not to judge others for they will be judged. Of course I don't believe in going to hell because I believe hell is what we make it here on Earth because I have yet to find outright evidence of such a place. Also, I have read of there being firepits in ancient times that cast out people, criminals, condemned, and general wastes were thrown into which would account for the idea of a fire-like doom in hell.

I consider myself to be a religous person, I was raised catholic and such a simple question hit the nail right on the head. How can any person of any faith say on one hand that God is unconditional love and on the other hand that if you don't abide by his rules that you will be condemned to suffer infinately in hell for a mortal transgression.Doesn't that kind of rational make God look like.... well .... like just one of us, one of us mortals who are judgemental, jealous and controlling.Yes , there are people out there who hurt others for no good reason, they will get thier punishment one way or anotherBut Jesus knew the nature of God is to forgive that is why his last words were " forgive them father for they know not what they do "

No man can condemn another man to hell, Thank God! Only God can judge correctly and give reward or punishment. However, if you ask a Christian, "what does God say", then we tell you as we are instructed by our God. We pray for your soul to come to an understanding of God and His will for you life. If you reject God's offer of salvation, then we tell you what God's plan is for those who reject Him. I would prefer that all people go to Heaven. This is what God wants too, but you can't go if you reject Him. The truth can not be denied because it makes us unpopular or you don't like the sounds of it. Do you really think that God would allow anyone to live for eternity with Him if that person hated and mocked Him. Even logically it just doesn't make sense. The goal of Christians is to present the truth of the gospel not to be pleasing to the masses.

Its the actions of an immature Christian. We cannot condemn anyone to hell...if that is possible, it will be a decision God makes, not us. I don't see a problem with praying for others souls though and hope that many do that.

We should pray for peoples souls. We cant condemn someone to hell, only the person can do that , by rejecting Jesus.

I don't know from whom or where you are getting your information but I suggest that they/it need to be prayed for because it is impossible for one to be a child of God and hate anothers soul enough to say they condemn it to hell. It goes against everything that a follower of Jesus is taught. We are to hate the sin/error but love the person.

It's nothing to worry about because anyone living in the 21st century knows that there is no such thing as GOD. It's a worthless fuckin' fairytale. So these brainwashed douchebag motherfuckers are nothing to worry about. They don't read the bible close enough, otherwise they would see that its loaded with hot garbage. The Qur'on on the other hand makes alot of sense....... but, sorry muslims. THERE IS NO GOD. An invisible avenger that lives in the sky. You tell me who the psycho is.

Personally, I do not condemn anyone to hell. Hell was not made for humans, but for Satan and his rebellious cronies. Humans go there of their own choosing by rejecting the free grace of God, offered through Jesus Christ. John, chapter 3.

Frankly, I'd like to meet you when I get to heaven. Come on in, the (living) water's fine!

Mankind doesnt have the power to condemn to hell, but God does. We are simply passing on the warning.
