Is it "safe"? I don't know. But, there is a lot of crime, drugs, street gangs and poverty. A lot of police have been killed there and I don't imagine they are in any great hurry to respond. I wouldn't live there. You are much better off living in Brooklyn or Queens.

I taught at the Sp. ED. Unit In J 117 for 4 years(109th bt 2nd and 3rd) And no,..you do not want to live there regardless of the rent. Sorry.

at present this is okay yet i'd continually be careful no count number what area of nyc you stay. i take advantage of to live on 92nd and lexington the realm has replaced and now this is extra crowded and possibility-free. nyc is truly no longer segrated via race as a lot as via funds at present. walk from one hundred and one st all the way down to ninety 2 on lex and also you'll see this is okay

no no no, my father lives on 106st and 2nd, the tall buildings!!! yeah that use to be my old neiborhood kiddo, i went to the j high school 117 right on 109th and 3rd. go to queens sweety, get out!!!! an'it nobody gonna know that neiborhood like me in y and a, so i'm telling you to get out honey, it still an'it a place for white chicks lookin for cheap rent.
