Our company safety guy said that there is proof that it was created as a weapon but he is strange to begin with. Is there any evidance to West Nile being a bioweapon?

Of course not. This guy really is "strange". I'll bet he has lots of similar theories, him being a certifiable nut and all.

how silly. It it were designed as a bioweapon, it's a pretty poor one, as the primary vector and primary victims are birds. People do indeed get west nile, but few have died from it, most just get sick need some hospital care, and go home. No, west nile has a genetic history that shows it mutated from a previously known virus, it was not created by man.

Plenty of people say things that are not true. Unfortunately people will beleive anything - especially about countries and sinister conspiracies.
