Hi well im getting married this year and my gown is an Amanda Wyatt gown. There is also her daugther Charlotte Balbier, there is Alfred Angelo, Hollywood Dreams, House of Brides. Dessy, If you type in House of Birdes into your search engine you will get all the designers Names there is also one called Sincerity.
I would also suggest if you are looking online for you dream dress them I would be looking for the ONE, online as like i did you find the dress you have dreamed off and they dont stock either the designer, or the dress in the store in your town. Most stockist sell the designer gowns but they are expensive. Sincerity bridal are goreous, but you could find you dress you like and the shop wont have it. So if you are looking at dresses online, just look for what you might like. As when you go and try it on you might not feel its the ONE.
What you do to find out if they stock the dresses is usually on the designers website you see a link saying stockist near you, these are the shops that stock the dresses in your town. So then you would probably jot the name or number of the dress you like ring the stockist near you and then they will tell you weather they have that dress or other dresses you might be interested in and then you will make an appointment and try a few on.
When i was first trying my dresses on i went to this one place and they were really pushy and made me feel uncomfortable so even though the dresses where gorgeous the women didnt seem to have time for me. So i went to this wonderfll bridal shop called Emporiuim and she is lovely and not pushy at all. I could chose which dresses i wanted to try on instead of like in the other shop they were trying on dresses they wanted me to wear which as innapropriate. I then found my dream dress and she sorted it all out for me as well as my bridesmaids and i am really happy i decided to go to her. So dont think you have to go to just one place as most bridal shops stock the same designers anyway.
You will have to cheack with the bridal shops near you to see if they allow you to just walk in and try on or you get there full attention with booking an appointment.

There are loads but all I did was go into loads of wedding dress shops and try them on! I can pretty much guarantee you will go for a dress you never thought you would! Take some friends or family with you and wait for the 'tearful factor' which is when you walk out of the changing room with a dress on and one or more of the people with you starts crying because you look so beautiful, then you could be onto a winner!
I wouldn't worry about designers and its what you like when you're looking. I picked my dress from one shop and went to another shop for some other bits and they tried to put down the designer I had just bought from as they don't stock it!! I am having fittings for my dress now and I feel like a fairytale princess in it so I'm glad I went with my instinct and not just a designer name.
Hope this helps

If you have nothing particular in mind just arrange appointments with bridal salons. Within a short time you will come to know the designers that appeal to you. However, just searching online for wedding dress designers or similar you will find loads of designers and photos of dresses they have designed. Often the dress you think you want isn't when you try on so the same goes vice versa, any good bridal salon assistant will bring you a selection and do try some on that you wouldn't have picked out yourself as sometimes they can look amazing on. Good luck

Try the designers, Maggie Sottero, Lazaro, Vera Wang. When I was getting married, although I new of a few designers, I just went into the wedding shops and tried on the ones that I liked, and if I were you I'd do the same. However there is nothing wrong with looking up a few designers on the net or in magazines so that you get a few ideas

chosing your wedding gown is the nicest part of preparing for the wedding. Don't go for names, just go to every bridal shop you can get to and try on dozens. You'll feel like a princess every time, but make sure you take girl friends with you - the bridesmaids are a good bet, and don't get a dress which compliments their dresses. Buy your first and chose theirs later. Do it every weekend if you can and the right gown will jump out at you. Stay away from anything too expensive though, no matter how pretty or it will be such a drag thinking you wished you could have had that one. Have a lovely time. You'll love it,

I did a lot of viewing on-line before I went shopping. Found some styles that I liked and then found who stocked that designer. The one I eventually bought wasn't one I had seen on-line, but it was from a designer that I liked.
But the best thing to do first is go somewhere that you really think will be good (I went to Harrods) and try some things on, even if you couldn't afford them for the real thing. Its a great way to learn what is going to suit you and what you really like when its on.
Good luck and remember, this is the best bit so enjoy yourself.

Personally, I did on search on line for wedding dress designers and looked at different dresses. I picked out some that I liked and looked on the web site to see which stores carried them. Then I made an appt. with those stores to look and try on the dresses. But don't be scared to try on some other ones too. I ended up getting a dress that I hadn't seen on any web site and it's the perfect one for me.

If you're new to looking just go to a few storea dn try on heaps of different styles and makes, even those that you don't like on the hanger. Maggie Sottero is extremely popular,, my dress is MS, but it's a prom dress rather than a wedding dress and is deep pink! Ian Stuart does lovely dresses, too. I can't remember the names of any other designers. BHS, debenhams, Marks and sparks and Monsoon all make wedding dresses too.

You must have heard of Vera Wang, designer to the stars.
I wouldn't bother checking with the store which designers they stocked, I would go anywhere, the perfect dress is so difficult to track down so it 's better not to be narrow minded.

I don't think going for a name is always the best. My sister found one at a bridal shop at a clearance sale, $300 for a dress normally around $1000. And it was exactly what she wanted and everyone complemented it. At a local resale store they have bridal gowns in the window, and there were several really pretty ones. Check around you might be surprised what you can find.
