If you have to ask, you are not ready!

Unlike some of the previous answers, there is no simple one sentence solution to this answer. Everybody's personalities are different, so while some will be ragingly confident, others will (and indeed should) take lots of time deciding, going over pros and cons, weighing their desires versus the situation and probable outcomes. It is neither inherently good nor bad to be careful in choosing when the right time is to make your move, however I would caution you against being overly cautious, if you wait and think to long life can simply pass you by. Conversely there is such a thing as being to confident, and if you allow yourself to get carried away in a moment with out taking time to consciously think about what you are going to do, you can make mistakes and may end up regretting it; don't be a victim of your own impetuous nature.

While there is no certain answers that I or anyone else can offer, there is one certain fact, and that is that you and only you will be able to truly know when you are ready. My best suggestion to you would be to simply know yourself, take time to think about what you want (goals etc that you wish your actions to cause) and balance that against the benefits of the action (will it be fun, memories for a life time etc) and try and judge what is best for you at this point.

Above all else, if you have any further trouble working through this, seek council from those that know you, a mentor, a friend, or if you are religious, pray. This last option may or may not help at all, but it is certain that it would not hurt, and sometimes while telling others about your situation, even if they cannot offer any good advice, you will have worked out some of the problem in your head simply by getting it off of your chest and changing perspective a bit.

You will just know...if you are with a guy you love and he makes it special for you thats awesome! But live with no regrets. Dont do anything you dont want to do just to make someone else happy and so you can feel accepted! You will be happy if you wait for a guy that you really love than it can be very special between the two of you. Give it time and make sure he will actually stick around and not just be with you for that reason.... Trust me I made a mistake and I wish I would have done it differntly and waited!! So please, please.......you will know when you're ready and if you love the guy!!
