Right, I'll be totally honest, when I was younger a couple of guys said they were in love with me and I said it back because I felt awkward and didn't want to put them off - I was young and naive. However when I met my husband (I was still only 18) we both decided that we didn't want a serious relationship and we would just go out/get trashed/have fun etc but we ended up having an argument in the pub a few months after we met and I blurted out that I loved him (and REALLY meant it) but thought 'oh no, I've blown it - this isn't supposed to be getting serious', but luckily he said it back and 11 years later we're still together! We tell each other we love each other all the time - at least once or twice a day - and I mean it each and every time now!

When I used to say it when I was dating in High school I didn't really know what love really meant (I mistaken lust for love). However now I know better and I know when I love someone and I tell them every chance I get.

Yes. I told my girlfriend that I loved her.....I felt kind of awkward because she didn't say it back. She thought I was just saying it. It took her a while, but I kept saying it, because I meant it. We have been happily married for almost 16 years now. But anyway, yup.....when I say it, I mean it.
