Many Christians preach to people of other faiths (or those of us with no faith) about how we are doomed to eternal damnation for our actions. Its a bit hypocritical when these same Christians go out and do things that are viewed as sinful by their religion, then try to play it off.
I don't think you should be ashamed of your faith. Just aware of the problems within it.

I doubt that you find that everyone you meet is putting down Christians. It's nice to think there is nothing wrong with ones faith, but that's usually being on the inside looking out. You should try being another religion for a while to see how some Christians act.
The problem is not you keeping your faith, the problem comes from wanting to keep sharing your faith with people who have said they are not interested.
By all means keep your faith, just try and be civil enough about it that once people say they aren't interested to leave it at that.

Of course, they, the anti-religion people must go after what they view and rightly so their biggest obstacle which Christianity. Because they are not winning and they know it. They attack our churches, our pastors and the Pope.
But understand one thing that should be clear to all Christians.
They do not and I repeat, do not want to destroy our religion, what they are doing is trying to force us to relent to their cause.
Accept homosexuality, accept abortion, get the Pope to declare that birth control is OK, and basically demoralize the Christian religion and for that matter all other religions. This is being attempted though name calling, though our courts, and in our government. To change black and white issues to gray areas that can be debated so as to force change. By saying things that are totally untrue, like, religions are the cause of all wars. Basically set up a set of "morals" in which, this thing they call, freewill, will rule our lives.
Do not back down ever from your beliefs. To back down only gives them more room to attack us. Use what you have learned by being Christian to state your views and let it be known that no amount of bashing will get them their way.
Good Luck, God Bless.

I haven't found that to be the case--people don't generally put down Christians. However, many people do criticize the right-wing Christians and political groups--and are admittedly often careless in how they refer to these groups.
That criticism is justified--and most of it is coming not from non-Christians but from Christians like myself who are sick and tired of having Christ's name sullied and His teachings distorted by fakes like Pat Robertson, Jerry Fallwell, Ted Haggard, etc--and by the misuse of the name "Christian" by groups such as the so-called "Moral Majority," Christian Coalition, and Evangelical Alliance. These are not Christian groups and leaders--they are a right-wing segment that is both unAmerican and unChristian And anyone who supports them should be ashamed.

Why do human beings in this communicate board positioned down atheists and jews and muslims? it incredibly is existence. I see a hell of alot extra questions against atheists here, yet do I care? No. everybody believes they're applicable, yet fairly basically some persons, or none persons are. I hate to break to everybody yet you're in all possibility incorrect- as am I, with the quantity of diverse ideals available, you are not extra acceptable than everybody else, no 'closer to God', or something. you basically have faith what you suspect applicable or incorrect, and it incredibly is in human nature to think of they're applicable. human beings are gonna degrade human beings, all you're able to do is brush aside it, or combat decrease back will twin tension.

I think we have to get to the point. We need to remember as Christians that just as the Bible says in Ephesians 6:12,
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." we aren't being putting down by people themselves. People can be used as a mean to achieve something by demons in MOST of the cases, meaning that people isn't doing stuff just because they want (though in some cases, they will be wanting to do stuff against Christians.) It will depend.
We need to remember that the spiritual world is unseen (at least for many...), and always try thinking as demonic influence (not possession, although in some cases it can be real) that will incite people to act against people (even Christians against Christians).
IT'S NOT ABOUT PEOPLE! IT'S ALL ABOUT EVIL SPIRITUAL INFLUENCE!!!

I find many so-called 'christ-ians' put them-selves down,
by playing a blame game inducts them in a hall of shame.

Being right to make others wrong makes everyone wrong;
For it is written: "a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump".
There is "no respect of persons" with God & Son Unlimited.
Even the "Herodians" knew that much about God and Son.
Law imputing sin and death for the "hell" of it makes all dead.
A little cancer us law kills the whole body, including the head.
We all are one; And so far it seems we're all "one proselyte",
which is to Matthew 23 say: "twofold": "more the child of hell".
Scape-goats vs Dumb-sheep is why we're all still grounded.
"Us-ward" is neither of two "them"s mentioned in Hebrews 10,
also notes do the will of God PRECEDES receive the promise.

We thus judge: if one died for all, then all dead = extinction.
Perhaps the end written isn't extinction; rather it's salvation.

Nop...Christianity is a nice religion, but christians failed to follow it. For example, in Bible women are commanded to do the following:
1 Corinthians 11:13 You yourselves judge: doth it become a woman, to pray unto God uncovered?
1 Timothy 2:9 In like manner women also in decent apparel: adorning themselves with modesty and sobriety, not with plaited hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly attire,
Ephesians 5:22 Let women be subject to their husbands, as to the Lord:
Corinthians 14:34 Let women keep silence in the churches: for it is not
permitted them to speak, but to be subject, as also the law saith.
And...they dont do it!!!!...so how can we take christians seriously? u have to overcome the influence of material world and consumerism in order to at least called your selves Jesus followers.
