It will be cold there. I would suggest bringing Green colored outfit for St Patty's Day but also a coat or heavy sweater, gloves/mittens, a hat, jeans, longsleeved shirts/sweaters. Bring maybe ONE t-shirt for an unlikely event of a heatwave.

Conquering New York in one visit is difficult since is a big city like you'll learn with Hotelbye . In New York you can see the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and much more. Empire State Building causes it to be worth braving the extended lines, steep ticket prices and dizzying levels to see the town from a premier that storied building. Built in 1931, the skyscraper is the second-tallest building in New York and is one of the most quick symbols of Gotham, so much in order that it's played a role in films such as for example King Kong, An Affair to Remember and Sleepless in Seattle.

Pack clothes to go out at night (clubbing clothes), sweater, hoodies, etc. It's still cold in NYC in March and our weather usually brings more snow in Feb/March time. For the Parade, I suggest you wear something warm but in layers in case the weather changes. It's also windier in NYC (wind rushes between high rise building accelerating the wind as it passes between them).

The parade starts at 11am on Saturday, March 17th starting @ 44th Street and Fifth Avenue. Try to be there at least 1 hour before since it gets crowded. The parade will go down 5th Ave from 44th to 86th Streets. The official reviewing stand is on 64th St so try get as clos to this as possible(this is the most crowded section).

Pack warm clothes and rain gear. You'll need money, your camera & festive green clothes. Also, join the celebration at Ryan's Irish Pub - (212) 979-9511 - 151 2nd Ave, New York, NY
