It's ALWAYS indiscreet for a lady to reveal her real age, and rude of anyone to ask. So long as she is over age 21 - it's nobody else's business.

It depends on how uncomfortable the woman is with her age. There are women of almost all ages who are afraid of being judged to be too old, I think, and there are women of all ages who don't care. So the "indiscreetness" is probably more a reflection of the woman's individual comfort with her life.

It is only indiscreet for someone to inquire of a woman's age, it is at no time indiscreet for a woman to reveal her age.

It's NEVER indiscreet; what it is, is that some women are insecure about their ages, and feel they have to hide it. A lot of times, they learn it from their mother.
I don't give a rocking rat's rump; I am going to be 45 this year, and I am in the prime of my life, and proud of it.
PS - My husband just turned 25, so there!

People should have no problem stating their age. My grandmother has had issues with this since she was around 50 or so. Until now, she's 75 and she won't allow us to call her "grandma" at work. She's even a "great-grandma." It's really silly, I think. People should be proud of whatever age they are. I am 33, feel like I'm 70 (multiple medical problems), and look like 20-25.

Never, there are lot of women who don't care and can reveal her real age at any time on their life.
It depends a lot on every woman, how secure is she, how concern is she about the age, and a lot of other factors.
But you shouldn't ask any woman her age, unless you are close to her, she migth be uncomfortable, and you would see very rude.
So you should avoid that question if you are interested in her.

Im always proud to reveal my age. Im not sure what the big deal is about that. But if a woman is bothered about it, Id say after 40.*

Never. This notion is so patheically outdated as to be laughable. A woman's age should be a thing of pride for her.
The only thing a woman should not do is anything she does just because she's a woman and thinks she has to do it.

I would say after 35 a woman would feel uncomfortable revealing her age.

Never years. The whole thing about not asking or being afraid to disclose your age is quite stupid.
Same goes for weight. It's not like people can't see that you're fat; hearing that you weigh 160 shouldn't come as a surprise!
