pay no attention to what SLEDGE said dear. idiots like that dont realize that the bible & harry potter stories are basically the same thing, just that the bibile is considered a true story whereas harry potter is just fiction.
other then that, its basically the same story told over again. the rather cliche story of good vs evil. both have magic in them. both talk about the same sort of values & morals & family.
actually SLEDGE is a good example to your question. people like that just dont realize that its all the same stuff & when you try to explain to them otherwise, they get confused & therefore get all hot & bothered over something rather stupid.
look at it this way, harry potter has a GOD-father AND he celebrates xmas. cant be much more christian then that.
also, it doesnt really matter if you read harry potter or not & poeple will tell you that you'll go to hell. cuz you will go to hell anyway. we all are. every signle religion out there says "if you not of this such & such a religion you'll go to hell. beign a satanist also automatically opens the doors to hell." so theoratically, we're all going to hell in a handbastket unless we can join every single friggen religion out there.
so enjoy harry potter to the fullest cuz it doesnt really matter...

The Bible and The Passion of the Christ are factual accounts. They weren't made to entertain people or be compared to Harry Potter, 007 or Unlawful Entry.

Because Jesus is really more like Elvis. And you're right about the movies, but the Harry Potter books are among the best ever written. If you don't like them, you need to seek counseling.

Whether the books are over-rated or not, it's extremely common in literature to see Christ-like figures, or people who are pre-destined to play a savior role in their sphere - Harry Potter is no exception to that. It's no big deal to recognize that very common literary device.

Perhaps they take offense at you attacking what they believe.
It is a form of attacking them, you know.
People don't like to be attacked.
Some get very aggressive.
I didn't like the passion of Christ movie.
I did like the first two harry potter movies.
I didn't like the Goblet of fire movie.
Sort of reaching for something to make it appetizing.

For the people that have faith and are looking forward to Heaven, the message of Jesus is the greatest ever told. To unbelievers, it is a sign against them and nothing they want to hear or are interested in. You have to have faith in order to be saved.

Because what you are actually doing is comparing Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and King of the soon coming Kingdom of God on earth, to a mere human creature of God that is totally in every way fictitious and is also a "child of the world" of whom Satan is god of.......That in and of itself is highly insulting and blasphemous to God in heaven. .....You are treading on thin ice!!

Do not judge God by a movie .The movie is to show you some of what Jesus went through for You . He suffered immensely so you wouldn't have to in hell if, you accept him in your life.
