I made some for the first time on my own. They actually stayed together in the pot, lol. Only thing is that I think I put too much lemon juice in the water. Does anybody else do this?

Oops I forgot to mention I stuffed them with a mixture of ground lamb, basmati rice, spices, and a bit of tomato paste.

I do it too. I usually don't put lemon juice, and I put a bit of greek yogurt on the plate when I serve them. You can also make them with mushrooms or with nuts instead of meat.
Delishes, and healthy

Yum... I love them. But I have never been daring enough to make them on my own, I just order them at the local greek pita restaurant. I know... I'm a cheater!
