Personally I think a good laugh is one of the most spiritual experiences available to us.

Joking about God in good taste is okay, I think. It is when we try to make a joke OF God that He is unhappy with us. Watching nature and seeing the funny things that occur with animals and people convince me that God does have a sense of humor. And yes, laughing is divine. I think we need to be cautious when we make our jokes that we don't do so at the expense of anyone elses feelings. Especially not God.

There are jokes and jokes. I just really hope that God - if he exists - does have a sense of humor (otherwise Heaven might be indeed quite a boring experience). But anyway, laughing in general cannot be honestly regarded as a sin.

Matthew 12:35-37
35 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. 36 And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. 37 The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”

I think that God is funnier than Hell :)
I believe that God is ultimate everything therefore, I think that God is ultimate funny.
The way Satan is going down, is pissing him off.
God is using bumbling human idiots, inferior to Satan to bring his trial to an end.
Think about it,
The end of the Church age, coming in the time of the Baby Boom generation.
The generation of Rock-n=Roll and heavy metal.
Did you realize that father's day for the last to years was on 6/18. (18, being 6+6+6).
I think that God is funny enough to pick a day like Father's day to return.
He gave Satan a scare for the last two father's day.
I think that is funny.
Peace out.

It really depends how. If it is a form of joking that demeans God, that makes Him seem ordinary in our eyes, then it is not good. It doesn't give Him glory, and it isn't good for you, because the idea you have of God will, in the long run, affect the picture you have of yourself.

Laughing is the cure to everything, it would seem, so it has to be divine. :)
Our jokes should be in good faith, it's not horrible to make fun of God in a totally innocent manner. I'm sure He laughs a bit at us too.

Depends. Abraham laughed when told he was going to have a child in his old age. But his laughter was based on belief. When Sarah laughed at the news, her laughter was based on unbelief and she was rebuked. In the end, the promise was fulfilled and they named their child "Isaac" or "laughter".
It all depends on why you are laughing. Either way, God can take it. But beware, God will get the last laugh. The question will be, will you be with Him laughing, or will He be laughing at you?

i think God does have a sense of humor (after all, he did create the duck billed platypus) but when you joke about God, it is a sin because that would be taking God's name in vain.

When we joke about something or someone it is usually because we are poking fun at that person, enjoying ourselves at his or her expense. if we really believe in God we wouldn't be doing that, would we?
