I'm getting married in April and I still need wedding favors. I'm looking for something inexpnsive and somewhat unique (not compleatly, just not over used). Maybe something you have seen or heard about or even done yourself. I can not stress enough that I'm looking for inexpensive....I just have to many people and not enough money. Do you have any ideas? Anything at all? Thanks for any help.

Oh sorry, I don't really have a theme. Its just romantic, simple and elegant. My color is Apple Red, and my flowers are Roses.
I was thinking shot glasses with the name and date on them, filled wth candy. but his sister did that for her wedding.....

The cookie and shot glass idea are reallly nice and inexpensive choices.
Another would be using the pint size Chinese take out boxes (appr. $0.15 ea) fill them with shred in your wedding colors and place red candies and/or your monogrammed cookie in the box. Tie red ribbon around the box with the bow at the top and then make a square or oval adhesive tag on the front of the box with your names and wedding date.

Since your Wedding is not that long after Valentine's Day you might want to get some candy on clearence. The colors are all Red (your wedding color), Pink & White. You could get some Red Hershey's Kisses or some Red, White & Pink M&M's & pick out the pink ones & then just put them in some favors bags. My wedding was in April & my colors were Pink, White & Brown so I got some M&M's picked out the Red ones & put them in White favors bags from OrientalTrading.com! I had 150 guests & only paid $70 for all my favors & they didnt look cheap! Check out the website! If you dont like my Idea then you can definitely gets some ideas from here! I hope this helps! Good Luck :)

I am getting married and found the website discountmugs.com. There is a huge selection of items you can personalize. I would recommend looking into it. I decided to go with Pilsener Glasses that are about 16oz and that includes our names a center logo (a heart or wedding bells) and the date. With shipping and handling for 225 glasses it comes out to a little less than $500. That is only $2 per person. There are cheaper ideas like shot glasses, mugs etc. I would recommend placing the order early just in case some arrive broken. They will replace broken ones for free. Good Luck!

You could always make a donation to a favorite charity. Put a frame on each table with the announcement that in lieu of favors you and your husband have made contributions to this charity. Then one person at the table can win the frame, either with a dot under their bread plate or by having the DJ play a spoon-passing game (when the music stops, the person with the spoon gets the frame).
This way you do give something away and no one knows how much you spent.

Im getting married in June and im giving out Cd's. I bought a Cd label program for $29 in Best Buy and i took our Engagement picture and with the Cd program i was able to make it fit perfectly on the CD so that it wouldnt fit funny or cut off. Then all you have to do is stick the picture labels on the Cd's and burn at least 16 love songs to his and your taste and youre done!
We also bought plant seeds and they are nicely wrapped and it has a poem attached to it saying... plant these seeds and when they bloom think of how much our love grows too. Those werent the exact words but it was similiar to it. If youre interested u can email me and i can find out the website i got these from.

Go to Oriental Trading Company's website...you didn't say what your theme was...which would be helpful. This company has a LOT of stuff..cheap..cheap..cheap..I used them for some stuff for my May wedding 5 years ago...and have used them for birthday party stuff..have always been happy with everything I've ever bought...
We have beach shell necklaces (our wedding was on my in-laws private pier and dock which is on the coast of NC..so we had sort-of a beach theme)..to everyone as they came in...that was their wedding "favor" since our food was done buffet style and not a "sit-down"...
I think you will be able to find TONS of ideas from them...

I am having a candy buffet with bags for them to put the candy in and take home. If you have a sam's club membership, then you could get candy for pretty cheap. If you don't have one, then you could watch for a one day pass thing (they come in magazines, etc.) but you have to pay a certain amount over what you buy. Also, you could make soap- If you go to hobby lobby when the soap stuff is half off then you can get it for VERY cheap. Hope this helps.

It all depends on you and your fiance. If it a small wedding party you could make a compilation CD of yours and his favorite songs and send one to each family attending. This way if a husband & wife come they get one cd. In Greece they make small bundles of Jordan Almonds tied in a bit of netting. Not to expensive if you can find the almonds at a good price.
Are you getting married somewhere special ( other than your hometowns) Make a gift to reflect the locale of the wedding.
The link below has a few more ideas.

for my mums wedding she was running low on money so instead of paying for a proper wedding cake she bought three fruit cakes from tesco different sizes of course and rented a tier from a pharmascist she then bought some ribbon and some fake flowers and decorated the cake herself it looked professional but saved her atleast £60.00.
