No one could call the nhs to me at one time. The worst experiances i have is with both my parents on seperate occasions-my dad went into the hos after a fall to be told he hadnt broken anything.they said it was his arthitis playing up.before we took him home screaming in agony a nurse came and said come back with him later when a different docs on hes always missing broken bones we couldnt believe what we were hearing-we did what she said after my poor dad had been in agony and sure enough he had fratured his hip he was in hos 10 days, he died shortly after he never got over it.nobody took the blame-My second was with my mum.She to went to hos after a fall.because of what happened to dad i insisted they did all xrays. she had asevere break in her leg-with my mum suffering from fleabitus they could only use a certain plaster, they put the wrong one on.As noone could see underneath it a huge hole had opened up. i was nearly sick when she was rushed back up to hos,she kept screaming her leg was sore but doc said it was cause it was broke. She to never recovered and died 2 days later.the docs arent interested in older people they take to much of there funds

Where do I start?
1) Being prescribed the wrong prescription
2) My GP not bothering to check my ailments as he thought I was lying about the pain.
3) Going to see the doctor for one thing then being forced to have a smear test when I wasn't feeling "fresh" that particular time of the day.
I'm sure have experienced more but these are all I could remember!

My worst experience is something I thank whoever was responsible for it for.
I had a serious motorcycle accident and shattered my neck and right forearm. The ambulance men thought I had also puntured my right lung and the stabbed me in my liver and my kidney. Due to this they had to cut me open from my belly button to behind my right shoulder, its a very big scar. And due to this they couldnt operate on my neck so they had to bury me in hospital for 10 days and they then put the halo on my head and four supports and a cast on my entire torso. 3 months later they took it all off. Ihave full neck motion and am not in a wheelchair.
I thank the ambulance men for that mistake as without it the doctors and proffesors realize it was that mistake that saved me from being completely immobilized.

Well I've not personally had one.
But my dad was in hospital up until yesterday for 3 weeks.
Outside the lift on the day he went in there was a smear of blood on the floor, only about 2 inches long, but still. When we went in to visit him 3 days later, it was still there!
And they wonder where MRSA comes from!

My son was transferred from one casualty department to one in another hospital who had a paediatrician although we had been seen by a consultant at first hospital and had all X-rays, paper work he was left sitting in casualty in extreme pain for almost 4 hours although the first consultant had called a head to make sure there was a bed for him he was made to wait and the nurses in the ward he was being admitted were wondering where he was .On complaining to the casualty nurse we were told they were busy and we had to wait again,I can't fault his treatment when he actually got to the ward but the waiting was intense.

being screamed and sworn at by a nurse when i was a patient in hospital and was unable to walk properly due to a collapse.and her slamming pills in front of me shouting theres your bloody tablets.I reported her because as a nurse im familiar with the complaints procedure in that hospital and guess what? nothing got done and she is now a charge nurse.even though she has literally hundreds of complaints against her.

Going for a smear test and while I was there taking off my pants and preparing for the ordeal, I saw the nurse quickly read an instruction leaflet for how to carry it out.
Then they lost my results so I had to go back.

Waiting for a hearing aid for (so far) 10 months to correct a f*** up THEY made when I was kid. They have the cheek to say that there is a waiting list, and THEN they jump an immigrant to the head of the list.
