The last major thing was the Flood.
The end is coming....check the book of Revelation. It talks the end and what is coming.

fear is jedi mind control to those in power (the chuch, government)
but I think this is a legit question ... the earth should be on the top of the list of things to do, but as soon as you say that you become a "tree hugger" ... the powers that be only seem to be concerned with the hear and now, and not about the consiquences to the future of our planet ... and in the end we will only have ourselves to blame ... and while we do sit around and laugh, the earth is already crying
