Palace Chase, you don't have to wait for your ETS. But what time you have left active is doubled when going reserve or guard. Meaning if you have 2 years left in active duty, you will be required to serve 4 years in the guard or reserve. Ask a reserve or guard recruiter, or unit for more info.

What until your active duty time in the AF is up and then enlist in the guard. No way of getting out of one to go to the other. Look into the blue to green program online or at www.military.com for details.

Have to wait till your ETS. Once that time comes up you just ETS out, then go to a guard recruiter and enlist into the guard, to easy.
