A true child of God shows compassion.God wishes no one to perish but that all come to the knowledge of the truth.
If we don't show mercy faith and compassion to anyone we can and will become worse than the one that as you say has been smitten by God.

Being smitten by god is a HUGE problem. I can only do so much. People are not often eager to be cured, and besides, I try to maintain the "live and let live" philosophy. I often fail, but I keep trying.

Now if someone were being smited, I would NOT interfere. I'm just a smallish girl, and even if I pack a pretty good punch, I'm no match for a cranky supernatural being.

If someone was smitten by god, I wouldn't want to get involved. Who someone falls in love with is up to them, no matter how much they suffer. ;)

I have seen this personally. They were smitten by God because they tried to harm me and my family. Don't speak lightly of issues you know nothing about.
