Thailand has alot to offer a sight seeing single man. The country is beautiful. There are some amazing beaches. So much history and the culture is totally different from Michigan. I would highly recommend that you take that trip to Bangkok. There also are some other reasons that being a single man would be good for Thailand but I am not going to discuss them here. They have this fertility festival that is part rave and part orgy. Look up info online for details.

If you visit Thailand, you'll never want to go anywhere else again. The place is amazing! The people are so nice, the food is great, the prices are cheap...you can also fly cheap within Thailand or surrounding countries for less than $50 round trip! Check out www.airasia.com I would reccommend going up north to Chiangrai or Chiangmai area as well. I spent a few months in Chiangrai and loved it. You can find extremely cheap hostels on the beaches of Phuket too.

Well, I have been to Greece and S. Spain but from the first time I came here, Thailand has struck a rare chord inside me.. Be it beaches, whch are lovely - touristy or secluded, we have both; or the cultural centers of the north - there is something to offer around every corner and usually that something is Thai people. Gentle, smiling, proud, independent, beautiful, friendly, engaging, totally contradictory, obstinate w/a grin and very very funny. If you are from Michigan or Missouri - you will find Siam quite exotic and definitely the best of the 3 places mentioned..

Thailand is beautyful,full of culture,natural beauty but Greece as well! A hard choice to pick. Greece and surrounding Islands I'd rather recommend starting in springtime till late September but Thailand almost all year round. The so called Monsun time has changed and even then it's still warm.

I've been to Thailand 4 times in the last 2 years, and I would say you definitley have to go there....I will warn you, however, after you experience Thailand like I have, you will never go anywhere else for a vacation........yeah, it's that good

I've been to Thailand last 2004 I must say that I had a nice trip. Cheap foods, nice people, good place to shop, beach in Pattaya is great white and fine sand. I did Parasailing. I enjoyed it. We went to the biggest jewelry shop and bought some for my family. Tour their temples. It's nice to see their cultures and way of living. I got to see their theme park "DREAMWORLD" and went to their zoo's I forgot the name - where I saw their crocodile show. I also tried their crocodile food. It's nice.
All in all. I had a great time. I want to go there again to shop... Best shopping place. =)

Your choice. If you want the beaches, Greece and Spain will be closer to you. If you want Thai culture, only Thailand has it :)
