Your calling the worng guy friend, at least the guy that found out came to you first and not to another person like your guy friend did. This so called friend is not your friend he took advantage of something that made you vulnerable to the rest of the world. I think its best the other guy confronted you other then talking about you behind your back like your friend clearly did. Did your friend say it trying to match you two up or just to be plain mean? Stay true to your feelings and remain honest with the guy you like. If the guy that now knows you like him is worth your time he'll say yes or no give him atleast that decision. Honesty is what got you into to this maybe it'll get you out. If he questioned you clearly taking an ego trip, then play it off and walk way. You said you like him not that your in love with him. Extend the hand or notion of a possible friendship.Distance yourself from the guy friend, he either clearly misunderstood you or is just a gossip either way you don't need anyone that talks about you behind you back you need someone that will come to you and just ask you for the truth.

Although I am a girl, I wanted to answer-I hope this is ok. I think the reason your friend told the guy is because the guy probably would like you too! I don't think the guy you like would try to humiliate you, what would he gain from that? Did he say anything that showed he didn't like you back? Can you give me more information? I just would hate to think someone would try to humiliate you, I would think most people would be flattered even if tehy were not interested :-)

Maybe your friend was trying to help you out by getting it out in the open. How would your crush know that you liked him if no one told him about it? Either that or maybe your best guy friend has a crush on you and he told your crush the big secret because he was upset that you liked someone else...But that one is too complicated, so it's probably more accurate that he thought he was helping you :)

First of all, you're friend shouldn't have told. That's what started the whole mess. Second, The guy didn't have to question you. He was told about it. What more would he need to know unless he just wanted to mess with you. Guys have a strange connection between them. Maybe your friend wanted to give you're crush a head's up but didn't know he would come back and talk to you. Still, I would be pi**ed too.

because guys have a bond with other guys no matter what a girl says. Girls are not in the little bond. So never tell a guy something that you dont want him telling his friends. Also maybe he thinks you're hot and has been wanting to get with you and his friend knew and when you said that he couldn't keep it a secret.
dont worry just dont tell guys something you dont want all the other guys knowing as well.

He didn't want to humiliate you, he just wanted to confirm if the rumour your friend told him was true. As for your friend, guys aren't usually the best secret keepers. They feel an urge to blurt out a secret they know everytime they know of one. Your friend wanted to help things out between you and the guy you like by telling the guy your secret. It's not his fault actually, it's just our nature to do so.

Guys have an unwritten code to always help each other score with the ladies.....plus if you like the guy and now he knows, isn't that what you really want anyway? Your friend wasn't trying to embarrass you, he was helping you out...and the guy (you like)questioned you because HE LIKES YOU....duh.
Now, go ask the guy out already...geez.

There is nothing wrong in liking somebody.Maybe your friend was trying to help. Get you two together but your friend should have respected your wishes.
How did this guy you like talk to you.Was he friendly?Don't feel embarrassed.May be this guy you like wanted to get to know you.Wait for sometime you will know.If he was mean or insulting you should have told him you were just joking with your friend.
i can't understand this direct approach if he wanted to know you.
Was your friend trying to help or hinder?

Men are worst chatterboxes than women, they can't keep a secret. Of course there is a chance that your friend told the other guy that you love him in order to help you to get closer.

Guys LOVE to gossip more so then I think gals do. But if you liked the guy that came up to you why wasn't you honest him and tell him that you would like to go out. What's the deal???? Trust me being shy won't get you anywhere.I mean it's cute but only for so long.
