its bone,meninges,csf then the brain..its like the brain is embed within a fluid..csf is continuously move down to spinal cord..csf is another protection for the brain after the skull, it can absorb vibration or sort of it...

I'm late but Hillbert is right: Bone (Skull), Dura Mater, Arachnoid Mater, CSF, Pia Mater then the Brain.

It's actually (from outside to inside)
Bone
Outer meninges (dura mater and arachnoid mater)
CSF (in the subarachnoid space)
Inner meninges (i.e. the pia mater)
Brain
