First of all, take a deep breath. Your hair just needs a little deep breath, and it will be back in finger-running shape shortly. I have had naturally curly hair my whole life and if there is one thing it does well... its being damaged! I found two things that have worked exceptionally well for me. First, I cut my hair often. It sounds weird, but it works. Every 6 weeks I have my friend trim my ends, she takes off as little as possible but still gives it a bit of a cut. The other thing that has worked fantastically is taking prenatal vitamins. I just buy the generic brand and take one a day. They are a complete vitamin meant for pregnant or nursing women, but my friend is a dietician and she said they are good vitamins for women of a child-bearing age to take whether they are expecting or not. I am amazed at the difference, my nails have never been longer or stronger and my hair has been growing non-stop! I highly recommend them, I have more energy and just feel better as well. Other supplements that help with hair quality are fish oil and of course WATER! Drink 64 oz a day at the least. Make sure you are using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Let your conditioner sit in your hair for a few minutes, I usually leave it while I shave my legs. Things to avoid are excessive amounts of styling products, blow drying, and straightening... direct heat is so bad for it! Good luck! I hope it works for you too.

It will usually grow back again, but there's nothing you can do to rush the process. If you've been damaging it from perms or other chemicals, you need to stop because it will just continue to do damage. Give it time for the healthy hair to grow out.

Cut it to short length! Go for hot oil massages & use a repair system condition after every shampoo. Eat lots of fruits & veggies and drink plenty of water.

if it's damaged, try to cure it. Use mild shampoos, see a dermatologist if your sculp skin is damaged too. If you're dying your hair either stop doing it, or use mild dyes. Just don't overstrain your hair. Take vitamins for hair, skin and nails. Relax, too. :) It will grow back, it always does.

Try to keep heat off of it and if you get braids don't let the braid any parts that are thin, deep condition it.
