Jogging gently is said to be good for you and, yes it does burn off calories and gets the heart going, so the circulation gets good. Some people do this every day, but it is not good for everyone. If you jog often enough by burning off calories you should gradually lose weight all over.

Jogging is definitely a cardio workout, and a really good one...it burns alot of calories, and strengthens leg muscles and bones. It won't necessarily burn fat off of the face chest and arms, because they aren't really involved in the motion, however, because jogging burns calories, you will see a decrease in fat all over your body.

Jogging is a form of cardio. Anything that increases your heart rate is basically cardio. If you stick to walking, jogging, or even jumproping for at least 30 minutes a day you will definitely shed some pounds.

yes, it will burn fat from the entire body. However the muscles in the legs will burn the fat in the legs at a faster rate than from other parts of the body since it is closer to the muscles in use making it an easier energy source.

a calorie is a calorie... there is no research that shows that fat moves from one area any faster than another...
if you would like to look more tone, you can always do weight training, but that only increases muscle... it's doesn't burn fat.
Jogging is probably the best excersice to loose weight and keep in good health.

Yes if you go far enough. Sprinting doesn't burn it as well as long distance jogging. 20 mins you burn carbs, 20-40 mins 50 carbs/50 fat, 40-60mins mostly fat burn. It's more duration with cardio than speed.
