when i travelled from madras to calicut i find plastic waste has plagued almost all railway stations. cant anyone suggest a way out?for a better, safer,greener,&clean india?

You didn't go to Sikkim?
that state has banned the use of plastic bags etc.

Putting a value (paying for) on waste (post-consumer) plastic so the litter pickers take care of discarded items. this may be acheived by taxing raw plastic to make recycling have a value.

Another approach is making it a moral or religious duty - droping litter=bad karma.
