Wow, tough one! Perhaps something along the lines of---Your daddy went away before he knew about you but it doesn't matter because you have us and we love you more than words can tell. And, perhaps someday you can help your mommy chose a new daddy especially meant for you.
Bless you all.

tell her; The most precious people on earth Have been brought through a lot. And sometimes those precious and very special people don't need daddy's because when you don't have daddy's you get more love than you ever thought needed. Tell her you don't need a daddy. Why would you want one when you have whoever she does.
Let her know in a smart way that she is best off without that daddy. Just point out all important characters in the family for example if she lives with her mother. Tell her she don't need a daddy because she has mommy Or She Doesn't Need a daddy When There is Grandma And Grandpa.
SOONER OR LATER SHE WILL HAVE TO KNOW THE TRUTH.
I grew up without a father and that is how it went i Had to find out on my own that somebody killed him. The only thing was that i felt hurt because they didn't tell me.

First of all your daughter should have contacted that guy when she found out she was pregnant because he should have been forced to financially support the child, [unless he's in prison]. In that case she would have possibly known where he is, when the day came that the child wanted to know. However for now she can tell the child that he lives 'away', and someday when she is grown up she can look for him. I would not tell her the truth about the rape part even when she is a teenager, it would hurt her deeply. I would give her all the details of his where-abouts [by age 16] that I could, so she can find him herself if she ever wants to. She has the right.

Just tell her that sometimes children don't have mummy's or daddy's but that it's ok because it just means that mummy and nanny & grandad love her even more, tell her how special she is and how proud you are of her.
If the circumstances of her conception are known publicly then she will have to be told sooner or later as it would be so much worse if she heard it from a neighbour

Dont know how old she is but if she,s young i,d tell her mummy wanted a baby so much she went to hospital and they put you in her tummy.I think id wait till she was old enough to understand properly what rape is,let her enjoy her childhood in ignorant bliss. You,ll know the right time to tell her the truth when it comes.
