what is the best fighter plane, some documentries say the su 27 some say the mig but what about the euro fighter and the new f22 rapter or the jsf ??

the best, most capable fighter jet in the world is the F22, far and away. its in a class by itself. its A-to-A and A-to-G capabilities make it the most complete fighter ever, and its engines are unrivaled. the most powerful engines ever developed, the plane can "Supercruise", which means fly supersonic without afterburner, which extends its range by thousands of miles. its radar and weapons capabilities are unmatched. if it ever gets the chance to fight air-to-air, it will never lose a dogfight, because they'll never even have to engage an enemy inside 25 miles. and even if they do, their vector thrust nozzles make them more capable of tight aerial maneuvers than smaller, lighter foes.
the F22 is the best plane ever. period.

The F-22 Raptor is the best air superiority fighter and plane ever, and has an amazing stealth system set up. The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter has an awesome vertical takeoff feature that is superior to that of the harrier. I personally don't care much for the SU-27, but the MIG is a decent, but outdated fighter. The EURO fighter doesn't really have anything unique about it as far as I know.

It really still comes down to mission parameters. The JSF, or the F22 may not be the "best" aircraft for a particular mission.
It is more than just speed, stealth, ceiling, weapons payload. It is about how to deliver the bomb on target and be effective.
In close air support, remember it only takes one person on the ground with a lucky shot from a small arms, and your multi gazillion dollar techno amazing air superiority fighter becomes a smoking hole in the ground (you can't play "stand off and shoot" in close air).
As always, it is more about the "stick", than about the plane. A pilot with the skills and instinct of ACM (air combat maneuvering / "Top Gun") can make even an "Ugly Duckling" dance at the prom.
The best fighter is the fighter that returns from the mission.

Gen. Chuck Yeager (ret) always quipped that he liked the F-15 best. Of course this was before modern era superfighters like the F-22 or the Su-35. I imagine he was a fan of its power and superb handling characteristics. The Mig 29 has some impressive characteristics, too. Bottom line, if I had to put my life on the line in combat today, I'd pick the F-22, for supercruise and service ceiling. Those are two major advantages in air combat.

Hmhhhdirt, I'm on your side regarding the F-111. Look at my avatar. That's mine, about 35 years ago. Not only wicked in combat, but a dream to fly. Oh, well, ancient history, and the question was about fighters. The 111 wasn't a true fighter, she was too big. 100,000 pound gross. I'd have to say the F-22, though I've never flown it, is the best we have right now. Probably the best fighter ever, all things considered.

While the SU27 has fantastic capabilities, just watch one fly, it has been surpassed by the F22 and JSF. The stealth capability and supercruise, puts these far ahead of the rest of the pack. My favorite is the F-111, first dedicated low level fighter (nap of the earth) and looks just plain mean with wings swept at low level.

they're all great
killing machines
but they're still technically fantastic
my favourite is the eurofighter and the rafale, but the gripen is also nice.
the americans have great machines, too many to mention, but what will stand out is the jsf f35 when it goes into service....
the mig 29 was awesome, still is
as for historic: it's got to be the spitfire
as for commercial: my current favourite is the 777-200 (all variants)
best ever: concorde BY FAR (bring it back please!)

Best for what? Ground attack F-4 wiled wessal. Long rang F-14 tom cat. Looks and grace i like the old school F4U Corsair.
