I like something acidic to cut the richness of the cheese sauce. I usually serve sliced tomatoes or pineapple salad.

You obviously aren't from the South because we consider Macaroni and cheese to be a side dish. Preferably served with bbq. However, I find that steamed asparagus goes very well with it.

Steam some fresh green beans for 4 minutes. Toss with some butter and some slivered almonds, YUMMY.

Mac -n- cheese usually is my side dish. The other day I made mac -n- cheese, sloppy joes, and peas. It was very tastey!
