I was a child in England during WW2. Spam was one meat that was fairly readily available. I loved it and still do. I don't eat it much because of the fat content and I have high cholesterol but I still think of it fondly. It was very useful for feeding the troops at that time but I understand they got upset about eating it so frequently.

Try diced Spam with egg noodles and cream of mushroom. It isnt the healthiest thing to eat obviously but it tastes great.

Fried, served on a steamed, squishy hamburger bun topped with a little mayo, a slice of tomato, and an iceberg lettuce leaf. Mmmm!

I use it in fried rice-we get hot and spicy spam here-marinated in tabasco sauce...yum.
My other favorite way is to dice it in small cubes-put it in a pot with fresh bean sprouts. cover with water and add beef boullion cubes ( maybe 2). let it simmer til the sprouts are soft and serve over sticky (japanese style) rice. YUM
