I just broke up with my GF of 10 months today, due to my new work schedule and "lack of time" I spend with her. I am still on the fence about getting back with her, but I know that will be even more detrimental. Is there any way I can salvage a friendship out of this, or should I assume it is done for good on all levels? Should I even try?

If you value her as a person, I say go for it. There is nothing like a good dependable friend. But if you even think you may try to turn that friendship into something more later on, then leave it alone. Some girls don't mind being friends with their ex's as long as the breakup was mutual. But if she is feeling hurt, don't try just yet. Give it a little time and then try.

There is nothing wrong with trying. All she can do is say no thank you.

Hope this helped and hope all goes well! ♥

Depends how mad your ex-girlfriend is with you. For me "lack of time" is one insincere excuse and it really pisses me off. Unless you really lack the time to eat and do any of your hobbies and barely get around to sleep, it just means there are a lot of other things you rather do than spend time with her. So it's you who is not interested, and of course I can't know what her reaction will be. Though I'd say, you should only try if you really want to keep her as a friend and not just feel that you should. People are not toys and you shouldn't play with their feelings.

Do you feel a pain of longing in your chest now whenever you think about her? Is she always in your mind? Do you miss her? If the answer is no then it is done for good.

Do you love her?? Were you guys having serious issues?? Were you happy?? I'm sure you had time you probbaly did not want to make time to be with her..If you love her try this out...make time for her..you don't want to loose someone if you really love them and want to be with them...if your confused take some time for yourself..and see what happens..
