Don't be afraid of the sushi that has fat in it. The ones like tuna and salmon have omega3 fatty acids...which are beneficial to your health. And the shrimp too..even though they are high in cholesterol, it is said that the fatty acids counters that by lowering bad cholesterol and increasing the good kind. The protein will help anyone who is out there trying to build a little muscle too.

Most have avocados, they're also high in good fat.

There are some to stay away from..especially the fried selection.

Bad news: sushi all have some form of fat (oily fish, seaweed) but especially of carbs (rice).

Good news: the fats in sushi are essential fats, that is, fats you have to eat if you want to keep your body functional.

Eating sushi is one of the reasons Japanese persons have been traditionally healthier, leaner and dying old.

Sushi is a healthy eating alternative with no oil and lean protein. In fact, Weight Watchers has adopted it as part of their healthy eating choices.
