I did fudge my income on the application. I didn't think it would matter. I have the bike already, will I get into trouble if I don't give them the form or will I get into trouble if I give them the form with mismatched info?

You committed bank fraud when you fudged the application. That's a CRIME, my friend!

At the very least they may jack your interest rate. Another possibility is that they'll repo the bike. If it's a Federally insured bank or credit union and they want to play hardball, they could bring you up on charges. That's not likely, but it IS possible.

How could you think that lying on a credit application would not matter? If you're really that thick, I don't want you riding a scoot around MY neighborhood!

this may invite trouble. it is better you give the correct income stated in that form and convince them it was by mistake you give the wrong information.

Unless the finance company has an already signed agreement from you to provide the tax return, do not provide it.

I am assuming the loan has already closed.

If you have the loan, why would you give them a 1040?
