It depends on when you had your teeth pulled. The first 24 to 48 hours are the most important time to keep your dentures on with out taking them off. After that you should remove them every night, brush them and soak them in water. You should always consult with your dentist if you have any pain or other question.

Oh dear! As hard as it can be, YOU NEED TO TAKE THEM OUT! THat is one of the reasons why people brush there teeth at night too. THroughout the day, bacteria accumulates in your mouth and is known to hide in the small space that the dentures leave. Also the potention choking hazardSo dont leave them in at night. Take them out- clean them, let them sit out and clean your existing teeth and mouth. Leving them in is not only bad for oral hygeine but physical health as well. Bacteria can make you sick

You need to take it out for at least 4 hours a day. If you don't oxygen won't allow your gums to dry out and you could get a yeast infection or denture sore mouth in the roof or floor of your mouth. If you get one of these two infections you won't want to wear the appliance because your mouth wil hurt too bad. If patients don't want to be seen without their teeth I advise them to at least take a shower without them in and rinse ith salt water without them in about twice a day. It won't guarentee that they won't get an infection but it would be better than nothing.

You should definitely take them out at night, to let your gums breathe. You wouldn't sleep with your shoes on would you? No, you would let your feet breathe, so give your gums the same respect.
