Labs are strong, powerful and quick, amazingly so. When you see them run it's a joy to behold. I'd name the dog Emerson for Emerson Boozer the all pro running back from the NY Jets 1966 through 1975.

I really like the name Benny that is my dogs name and it suits him really good. You can also go on Yahoo or Google and search puppy names and sometimes there are wholepages just filled with names...Good luck and enjoy your puppy!!

I knew a black lab a few years ago and he was a great dog...He walked himself through our neiborhood with his owner... but carrying his leash in his mouth. He greeted everyone... nearly everyday we saw that dog! His name was Duncan. Great Dog.

Well, Labrador is part of Canada - so how about a solid sounding Canadian name - something like Duncan....
