I stand up, but hunch over, just like you would if you're at a public toilet where you don't want to sit down at all. I don't think I could wipe seated, you'd bump into the rim of the seat with your hand wouldn't you? How can you even reach without connecting with the seat? ::puzzled::

You put this in etiquette, which, I thought, has to do with behaviour relating to other people.
In relation to etiquette, unless you make bathroom using a spectator sport ... it doesn't matter if you sit, stand or squat.
What does matter in bathroom etiquette is an oriental custom:
Wipe with the LEFT
Eat and greet with the RIGHT
I just washed well enough that I didn't think it was an issue, but I follow that tradition now. (and still wash, of course)

first, thank you for the psychological image... nicely, no. 2d, I consider Ava, your gluteus maximus muscle groups make it extra troublesome to get between them in case you're status up. As a house nudist i attempt to stay as sparkling as i can, so after making use of the centers I additionally wash whilst it fairly is achieveable. If the seat is small, you're able to could carry up slightly, yet i does not call that "status".

I usually lean foward so that I can reach on hand under my leg to wipe. Lifting up like that also spreads the cheeks for easier access. I find that standing only smashes the feces in between the cheeks, making it harder to get clean.

I've never heard of standing up. I guess its just easier to do while sitting down. This is going to sound dumb, but when you stand up, your butt cheeks will be more pressed together, and lets just say you might have a little more to wipe.

I too only recently realised you could do it sitting down. Standing up for 23 years now, probably not going to change.
