bonded pair means that they have bonded and are affectionate towards each other. Which means that they may eventually become a proven pair.

Alot of people looking to buy breeder pairs will come across ads that say:
bonded egglaying pair---what this means is that the pair is bonded and have layed infertile eggs.

A proven pair is a pair that have bonded and have mated successfully. Being proven however does not mean that they are good parents. It means that they have layed fertile eggs. So be sure that you ask if they are good parent...do they sit and feed their babies.

another term you will see is egg laying pair. Which usually means that they have layed eggs that were not fertile.

If you're looking to buy a proven pair of birds be sure to ask if they are proven by the person you are buying them from or by previous. Ask if they are prolific or how many clutches and what size were they in the past 2 years. Most breeders do not sell their prime stock. so, there is usually a reason that they are selling such as bad parents that don't feed and abuse their off spring, non producers, etc.
