What I mean is if, for example, a student forged a note from their parents to the college explaining an absence.

I am aware it is still wrong but would anyone ever take any action involving the police.

I don't need a note from my parents because I am not eligable for EMA. However, I have friends who do get EMA and if they are absent they need either a note from their parent/guardian or a doctors note or else they don't get their EMA for the week. Needless to say this means lots of people take days off anyway and forge notes from parents.

Forgery is forgery, little or big, it is still forgery.

I had done it so many times. Why to bother our parents ? My brother and me are able to copy each other's signatures and we also copy our father's signature. We have used this skill so many times when one of us is not available to sign.
