With medication or without? There are medications out there to turn you into a zombie. If you don't want that try cognitive replacement. That is, every time you get angry think about why you don't like getting angry or how you regret having got angry.

I quit smoking with cognitive replacement. Every time I craved a cigarette I thought about how much I hated the smell and taste. I haven's smoked in over 23 years. It took 10 years to completely rid myself of every craving for a cigarette. It was hardest during the first six months, but it got easier as time passed by.

When you get angry, you might try asking yourself, "is getting angry really worth it this time." Sometimes it is OK to get angry if the time and place and reason is good. Try to tell the difference between the good reason and no reason. Ask yourself, is this a really good reason to get angry. If you have a tendency to get angry for no reason, learn to back off a little. Practice!!! Practice!!! Practice!!!! It will work.

The practicing of anger control sets new thought patterns in your brain, its just forming a new thought pattern. Each time you control your anger the thought pathway in you brain, nervous system, reinforces that thought pattern. Again, practice and it will work for you.

Really, Good Luck! Tell yourself, "you can do it."

Chances are that you may be suffering from depression. Counseling can help you find the underlying cause of your hidden emotions. You may even be experiencing panic attacks. Consult your doctor.
