WAIT!!! You don't need a test if it doesn't feel normal when you urinate!
Before you get a prescription for antibiotics (and have to avoid beer) just drink a quart of CRANBERRY juice every day for a week. This juice lowers the number of bacteria in the bladder and urinary tract. Bacteria cannot cling to the walls of your "plumbing". Try it, it always worked for me.

Yes I think they are the same. They are tested by urine test. They see the level of puss cells in urine for that. You will feel like urinating a lot and it will be difficult to urinate. Your stomach might start feeling heavy if the infection is too much. Have citric juices like lemon juice and drink lots and lots of water. It happens due to humidity or not keeping clean. Try to wear less clothes and try to be without panty for sometime. that will also help. rub ice.
Cranberry juice is also good.

Yep theyre the same thing, and diagnosed by a simple urine test. You can also get kidney infections.
