I know the disney land. I need to know other places where whole family can enjoy and know new things as we are planning a trip to L.A. for a couple of days.

If you would be so kind as to add additional details I will edit in some good cheap suggestions later...How old are they and are they girls or boys...Thanks...
If for example you had a boy 8 and a girl 12, you might want to go to the Santa Monica Pier they have all sorts of cool rides and a beach scene...I bet they would like that and then you could go to the 3rd Street Promenade for some shopping and see those dinosaur/arbor sculpture things...Have fun....oh yeh here is some more stuff to do:

The Beach-don't know what the weather will be like, but if you don't have a beach where you live, you gotta go
Knotts Berry Farm-like Disneyland, more character, smaller
Museum of Tolerance-my kids went and were forever changed
Museum =forget the name, just the museum in LA
Ocean Museum-if you want to drive 45 min. or so, Long Beach has a great marine life museum-then you could go to Queen Mary, Lots of restaurants near the marine museum, also they have a huge indoor game arcade near the museum in Long Beach. (forgot the name)

Universal Studio's about 5-10 Kms south of Hollywood is a good place. Get early so you can make it all the rides and shows.

I liked the Jurassic Park / Shrek / Water World themes. When Iw as there during the christmas of 05 they were getting ready for Nemo and I bet it will be good too.

Pack your food and water. It can get really expensive there. Lots of tit bits to eat as the kids will like it.

The children's museum in downtown LA. I remember that day...wow! Oh, and it's not actually a museum, it's more of a fun playground for kids. There's this room where you stand next to a wall, and your shadow stays there for a while.
