Yes. It's a nice little "country" town and yes, it really DOES have a cross. Also noted for a type of currant bun.

Hi

Yes, yes I have!! There is a lovely country park called Avon/Burton Dassett nearby which overlooks the M40 but on a clear day you can see into Wales, The Malverns etc. Also in Banbury there is there the famous Cross that the lady rode to on a **** Horse. The **** referred to is a pub in nearby Stony Stratford, lovely pub, lovely town. Visitors used to stay overnight and transfer horses before going on to Banbury and further. Next door to the **** is The Bull Hotel from where the **** and Bull story originates. Somebody would here a story in one pub then go next door, enhance the detail and tell the story again. All 100% true.

Happy travelling!!!

Dean

Yes - on business but it was an overnight stay. It was a lovely place. Really English and surrounded by beautiful countryside. I believe it was also the home of CS Lewis or if not then he had close links to the town and an area of the Banbury Museum is devoted to his works.

Wow - I sound really interesting. ;-)

Yes, rode through on a **** horse . . . . . on my way to Banbury Cross.

Actually, used to go through it before they built the M40 (by car)!

Yes, many a time... I used to deliver parcels in the area when doing a temp job before we moved to West Yorkshire.

Yup!
I used to deliver tyres to Kwikfit, and others....
Locked myself in the back of my van one day! Had to bang on the side to get out.
The two lads in the service bay were wetting themselves laughing!
