Over 3000 US soldiers in Iraq lives have been TAKEN NOT LOST. Was the taking of their life a waste or a sacrifice?
Senators Barack Obama and John McCain used the word ‘wasted’ and are being persecuted by those that make it apparent to me that they have NO UNDERSTANDING of the word and thereby disagree with their use of it.
Please use the common sense given to you by God Almighty and take out your dictionary(ies) and thesaurus(i); look up the definition of these two words, waste and sacrifice.
Don’t ASSUME that you know the definition.
Also ASK HIM, GOD ALMIGHTY, TO BLESS YOU WITH UNDERSTANDING THEN give a response.

A true sacrifice is to God and God alone. Anything proposed as a sacrifice to the world or its systems is a waste. As to whether any of the more than three thousand lives was a genuine sacrifice to God, only God knows because only God knows the heart of the service member that died. Let God be the judge.

The president made hard choices. It is very revealing to see the ones who supported him and said the same things on Iraq, have flip-flopped. They now disavow the war, and want to give up the fight, and make the soldier's sacrifices a waste.

Oh the weapons have been there. Iraq in simple terms led the investigators around with the help of their noses and the journalists informed the persons what they had to hearken to. It replaced into no longer a waste they attacked us we responded. could desire to have made the full rattling place a carpark and been finished with it.

We have every right to be in Afghanistan and destroying the Taliban. We did not and do not belong in Iraq! This was all Bush and his daddy's idea. Daddy got burned by Saddam and vowed to get even. He did, with the cost of over 3000 Americans soldiers. Honestly if I were in the service, I would refuse to fight in Iraq. Yes, I spent my time in the military. I was in the Army for 3 years. Just because some suit tells you this is your duty doesn't mean you have to stop thinking for yourselves.

Wasted lives is a harsh way to refer to people who have died, even if they were sent to fight in a war which shouldn't involve us and can only have a negative impact on us in the long term. As politicians, they should have had more tact than to use such terminology.

It is a tragedy, but not a sacrifice for any gain.

They have been a sacrifice

How many times have we been attacked in the USA, on our soil, since 9/11 and since we took the war to them?

zero

That tells me something, I KNOW we did the right thing in spite of stupid comments some Senators make.

We need some Senators and Representatives in there who are real basis people like us and NOT the bureaucrats that are educated beyond their intelligence and understanding

A military person's life is a life of sacrifice.

They train to defend us, and are sworn to protect us from enemies both foreign and domestic.

They lay down their lives, AND IN THEIR HEARTS THEY DO THIS IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE CITIZENS OF THEIR COUNTRY AND PRESERVE THE FREEDOMS AND THE WAY OF LIFE THEY ENJOY.

Anyone who would insult the men and women of the armed forces or say that their lives are give in vain or a waste of time ARE SIMPLY NOT WORTHY OF THE LIFE THAT WAS TAKEN IN THEIR BEHALF.

People too often take for granted the blood shed in their behalf.

Just like that of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
