Jealous is an attitude of mind and is not based on sex. Jealouse is the feeling when the person is in the state of dependence and does not know about himself properly . As the individual moves to independence by understanding and recognising himself . He becomes content and stabilised. and understandingly seeks friendly help and gives a friendly hand to those arround .

Jealousy is in human nature and its not like that only women are jealous. Jealousy is in human nature at different extent. Some are less some are more but everyone is JEALOUS in this world.

Jealous is a normal and natural emotion that is there in every human individual. Women are more jealous of other women because, as you know, they are 'weaker' section of the society.
It is healthy as long as jealous is in limited measure; the moment it exceeds the limit, it can harm the person badly both physically and mentally.

I guess your question is "why are women jealous of other women?"....My answer to that would be coz may be they are born with that trait, may be it's a defense mechanism used by women to protect themselves from being treated otherwise. Usually as you have rightly judged, women who are not confident of themselves tend to be jealous. So those who are well content with themselves are quite away form such trifling feelings of jealousy.

It is human nature. Not only women but men are also jealous.Some people are very uncomfortable with others progress. Some people have control over themselves they don't show their feelings, they press down their ill-feelings, but a few can't.

Because they do not want that women meant to be superior from them. They fear from women who are better from them. Because in todays world women can do whatever what men can do. The main reason is that they deslikes each other.

i do not think jealousy is a negative quality as far as women are concerned...
its a positive quality... jealousy is a very important part of women's nature... a woman is not complete without jealousy... without this where from her intense possessiveness will come... out of which a mother clings her child... a wife keeps her husband under arrest...? etc...
