Normally they only last for a week or so. You may be left with one or two scars afterwards, so just be aware of that. Try not to scratch at them, as this will make them much worse. There is a lotion you can get for them, but I'm afraid I've forgotten the name of it. Sorry! Get well soon!

Sorry to hear you have chickenpox. It lasts a couple of weeks. The spots vanish shortly after you recover. One way to help them go away is not to scratch them. Keep a washcloth filled with oatmeal by the tub. Wet the washcloth and rub that on the spots. That will take away the itch faster than anything else.

It usually lasts between 5 and 10 days, although my daughters lasted closer to 14. IF you don't scratch and are careful not to remove the scabs, or jar them in ANY way, all of the spots should go away completely after a few more days (so say 20 days before it all clears up). However, if the scabs come off by scratching, or by accidental removal, they can severely scar and that never goes away. Depending on your age, you might be able to take aciclovir.
Whatever you do, don't scratch.

DONT PICK THEM!!!!!
I had chicken pox at 9 yrs old...they lasted a week exactly...I remember because it was during my 1 week Easter break from school...I missed no school, but all of my holiday!
Because I was young, I picked at them a lot. They scared quite badly. I've got a huge red blemish on the right of my chin from picking at it!
This disease really takes it out of you too. You'll feel like crap during it, and really weak after they have gone. But at least your body will now be immune to ever catching this again.
Rub Camomine lotion on affected areas to ease the itching. Eat loads of icecream!!!...It sooths your throat if they manage to spread that far...(that's no fun either, no amount of icecream can dull the pain of chicken pox in your throat!)
Good Luck! Hope you get better soon!!!!

chicken pox usually last 14 - 21 dayz.....once the blisters scab over you're no longer contagious......yes the spots will disappear....unless you itch and scratch at the blisters....then they could scar....to help ease the itch....take a baking soda bath.

7 days and do not mess with the "scabs" that form...you will end up with small round scars that look like someone stuck a B B to your skin for a long time.

surely, i does not do it at 18 months. whilst that's genuine that it fairly is extra useful to have them "before" as against later.. i think of they advise, as a baby vs. as an grownup. ANY babies ailment ought to be much less complicated whilst your baby is extra waiting to speak how they experience. i could not even think of intentionally subjecting my baby to an ailment at that age. whilst i'm not against vaccination, if I have been going your direction I in basic terms does not positioned my baby in harms way whilst she wasn't waiting to verbalize what became going on along with her. My woman had a number of babies ailments.. roseola, hand, foot and mouth ailment, etc. and quite a number of alternative undesirable fevers with publish-viral-fever-rashes. whilst she became below 2 and least verbal, it became the toughest on all human beings in touch (in basic terms think of how effective he will experience unable to speak any could you.) in case you wait until he's older, a minimum of he can confer with you approximately his indicators and you are going to be able to deal with them subsequently. To do it at 18 months in basic terms seems merciless to me.

Poor you. Forget that camomine lotion nonsense - we used something called "Eurax" on our kids, much more effective.
