Is it to get credibility for what we think? Or the hope
people will find merit in what we think, and pass it on to others?

For some people its a way to pass time,some amusement, some would like to actually help people. Some of the folks here have alot of opinions that they would like to try out on others in a safe enviorment. The are people here that actually need the answers that they ask for. The reasons for this site are as numerous as the questions that appear within.

I fully agree with David ----- s/times its purely for fun and time-pass & s/times its with a genuine need to help others ....just by sitting at home and providing answers to questions asked by total strangers. & I think we slowly get hooked onto it & the total strangers become kinda friends .

i think that most people want to help others, at least i am hoping thats why. you can tell by the answers some people give as to why they are doing this. i like to believe that people are basically good at heart and are doing this to help others. : ) also, its fun!!
