Duh — making myself happy. And do you know how I do that? By not having or wanting a husband or boyfriend.

I don't think that is a choice if you do things for him that make you unhappy than you will resent it in the long run
Loving someone isn't about who gets to be happy it's both people sharing joy and pain and being each others support system
It's only natural to want to make you honey happy but not at the cost of your own happiness

Well I might say it this way. First of all you have to be happy with your self in order to make someone else happy. if you can not love your self how can you expect someone else to love you. I think being happy in most cases is a every day life. Being able to wake up to another day is great. Be happy as much as possible. ANd if you only doing this for the wrong reason is not going to make your mate happy.

I don't think you CAN make anyone else happy unless you make yourself happy first. You have to love who you are and where you are in life, so that you can share that with someone else.

When I do things that make my fiance happy, it makes me happy. It sounds kind of simple, but it is true. Plus, he is just a great guy and always goes out of his way to make me feel appreciated, how could I not want to return that?

> its a little awkward if the girl would ALWAYS be the one to make her bf happy,.. well,, anyways,... i would tell him if i dont like something and i'll eventually just fix everything through communication.. in a relationship it is better to have a "give-and-take".. rather than just always giving or always receiving. :)

No offense but this question really is a no brainer.

If I am happy then he is happy, and if he is happy then I am happy.
