If SPINACH, WATERCRESS etc are so full of iron, why aren't they magnetic?

It is non metallic iron than is in these. The way you say it we should eat iron bars! Did you know that pure iron is not magnetic its only when it is mixed with other ingredients that it becomes metallic

Have you actually tried using a magnet on them?

In fact the iron is in the form of non-metallic salts.

They are. Just not so much as you'd notice with a household magnet.
