Chocolate has that 'feelgood' effect that its hard to give up eating it and going 'cold turkey'.
Like most things we enjoy eating, its benefits last as long as we keep eating them, but its when you suddenly stop that you feel a craving.
Have a little of what you like and your body will be happy.
Suck a little piece at a time and enjoy the texture and flavour, and you wont need to chomp down the whole bar.
Lots of people are sensitive to dairy, and choc has a lot of full fat milk in it, so maybe try Dark chocolate instead.
A Little instead of lots is the key to balance.
Enjoy in small quantities.

Sudden withdrawal from caffeine can give you headaches, your body gets used to having a certain amount or the drug in your system and gets upset when you stop. It should stop in a few days though.
Another possibility that could be linked to chocolate is that you're also not getting the endorphins released by chocolate and therefor you may be temporarily more prone to stress and these could be stress headaches. Try a little tiger balm on your temples.

Yes it probably is. The same thing happens when you give up caffeine. Try replacing the sugar you used to get from chocolate with fruit. If your still getting the headaches in a couple of weeks visit the docs.

Yes. I used to get real nasty if I hadn't had chocolate by 6pm. But then I had hormones [for something else] and now I can take or leave chocs. Don't often leave them mind but I can go days without chocolate now and not notice. So I think if you crave chocolate you must need it. Course, it could be that you've turned into a cold turkey. Fridge or freezer?
