my 18 mth old has been taking off her clothes and diaper at naptime and bedtime for about two months now. im sure you can guess what happens then. we have tried every kind of tape in the book. theres not one she hasn't mastered. we have tried to start potty training and she loves to sit on the potty but there is no business happening in about a month. the only thing we can do is put on the footed pjs inside out so she cant find the zipper. this isnt going to last much longer. she has found the zipper and is figuring out how to get it down a little at a time. yes she is a bit of a firecracker. any suggestions on helping this? i feel really bad waking up and finding that she has slept in whatever business she has made. i really dont want to go back to that. please help!

oh yeah i forgot to mention the onesies. she can usually undo those but if she can't she will reach up inside and just take her diaper off. i believe with this one i am what they say paying for your raising! i believe she will keep me on my toes.

she doesnt own a pair of overalls but i sure will invest in a pair. havent thought of those and maybe even the discomfort of them would break her. i know that is sad to say but it drives me nuts.

i know exactly what you are going through I have an 17 month old I found the best thing that works for now is a onsie and overalls, not the most comfy thing but they are pretty diffucult to take off.

My daughter went thru the same thing, but she was already potty trained so I never had to worry about her sleeping in her own messes. I'm not sure on how to fix that, other than getting her potty trained. It will take a while, but she'll get the hang of it soon. Make sure you are sticking her on the toilet everytime she usually goes. Some kids have a potty schedule. I wish I could tell you that she will soon stop taking her clothes off, but I'm still trying to figure that one out myself!! My daughter is now 4yrs old and still doesn't like to wear her clothes. And she'll be starting kindergarten this year, so I'm starting to worry!!
Good luck.

l wish I had your instant messenger I d.
Your Daughter is very smart. She knows the game.
You need to bring a third Object into the Game.
A Doll, or Teddy Bear that can wear the same type
outfits or colors that she sleeps in.
Make over how nice it looks, then how nice they both
look. Say they are Big Dollies, or Teddy's because
they want to sleep in their pretty night clothes all night
long. They can also help with Potty Training the Dr. Phil
way. Sorry got to go.

You need to get some footed sleepers with a zipper. Cut off the feet. Put it on her backwards. NO KID CAN GET OUT OF THIS ALONE. I promise. Now if she has a sibling to undo the zipper, that's another story :)

OMG!!! My daughter is in this same phase. So I know what its like to wake in the morning to find your little girl playing in her poop *ugh* The one item she has not figures out are onsies the snaps area little harder to take off and reach and she cant see anything to mess with. I know the sizes go to atleast 24m cuz thats what I buy. I try to but PJ's on over them but they dont stay on. Its been about 3 month now for me and the onsies are still working so hey it cant hurt to try its better than cleaning a mess. :o)

Have you tried letting her pick out her own jameez or clothes at bed/nap time? I had to switch to pull on diapers for that reason and she can't get them off, I don't think she tries as hard as yours does though. :) If she wants to sleep with no clothes on, let her, it wont hurt anything...Only problem is the diaper...What about training panties with a cover over them?

With the nappy, try putting it on backwards and also do this with her pj's. She might be more interested in pull -ups nappies where she can go to the potty by herself or even start her in undies. She will soon learn that when she wets them its not very pleasant

perhaps instead of waiting for her to return to you to get a humid diaper off of her after a snooze or the different time, you're taking the initiative and basically replace her right now upon waking so she gets back into her ordinary.

Let her do it, she will eventually break herself from that.
I know that's hard for you to do but these silly little antics usually work thereselves out, and we go crazy trying to fix them.
