It says in the bible ask for anything & it shall be yours Funny all the daily billions of prayers being completly ignored You know to me at least peace on earth would be a considerable request but then again an all powerful all loving all knowing god couldnt possibly consider ending all world suffering That wouldn't make much sense

We all are Humans, That is the Human side of people, The spiritual side will take God at his word. Remember The flesh wars against the spirit, God has only redeemed our soul right now if we are a Christian, Our Body redemption will come when the dead in Christ shall rise first. And those that are alive & remain will be changed in the moment of the twinkling of the eye.

Man's nature always asks 'why?'. I don't know that God ever answers "no". I believe He answers..."not yet". God will do things in His time, not ours. We often want immediate results. It's just our way. God doesn't think like us. Certainly we don't think like God. Your'e almost right in saying we are often short-sighted. you could say "Some people are that way, or most people are that way.....not ALL of us. If your request to God will have ill-fated results, He will reveal that to you in time.

It's in the nature of peole really. You pray to god for help in troubled times, and all of a sudden god is your superior master and he will help you. When the troubled times are over, who needs prayer , you want to do everything yourself without limits.

God should be appreciated when a ship sinks and all except you drown

BUT God should also be appreciated...when all are saved and you drown
