The Bible doesn't affirm that God causes all the bad things that happen to us. God is love. He doesn't like to see us suffering.
People will think he's guilty as long as they won't do some research. But there are few who do that. Most of them say when something wrong happens :"Why did God do this?", "Where was God when I needed him?", "Why's God punishing me?".
But the ones who are truly guilty are us and the ruler of this world, Satan.
On an occasion when Jesus was "tempted by the Devil," Jesus did not question Satan's role as the ruler of this world. The Bible explains what happened: "The Devil took him along to an unusually high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and he said to him: 'All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me.' Then Jesus said to him: 'Go away, Satan!'"—Matthew 4:1, 8-10.

Think about this. Satan tempted Jesus by offering him "all the kingdoms of the world." Yet, would Satan's offer have been a real temptation if Satan was not actually the ruler of these kingdoms? No, it would not. And note, Jesus did not deny that all these worldly governments were Satan's, which he would have done if Satan did not have power over them. So, then, Satan the Devil really is the unseen ruler of the world! The Bible, in fact, calls him "the god of this system of things." (2 Corinthians 4:4)

OMG! You are SO RIGHT!!! I've NEVER read ANYWHERE in the bible about GOD "bringing great strife" or doing anything evil, like killing the 1st born sons of an entire nation (a fair attempt at genocide, perpetuated by a "forgiving and loving" god who preaches "turn the other cheek"). It was once said "tell the truth, and you never have to remember anything." The "word of god" contradicts itself countless times, and "infallible" god goes back on his word more than once. Look at every war history has recorded, and you'll find that religion was, ultimately the cause of MOST wars before christianity....and ALL wars since then. When it gets right down to it, religion is always the root of the cause of war. People are always willing to do violence on behalf of their "almight ruler and creator of all" who apparently, can't fend for himself. Check out some documentation on the Spanish Inquisition, and tell me your god isn't the cause of evil.

As long as the Bible that some consider to be the word of God says things like:

Exodus 15:3 "The LORD is a man of war . . . "

Isaiah 45:7 " . . . I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

People even try to prove that God doesn't exist by saying that there is war and things like that, but they simply do not know how things came into being and how man is responsible for all the calamity that takes place today. What's even more dissapointing is that people fail to say that God is waiting to heal the nations, if only they would open up to HIM. God is a perfect gentleman. Thats why He gave us freedom of choice and He never does anything by force. If you want to see a peaceful world, open up to GOD!

You are right. God gave us the ability to think. The cause of this evil in the world is due to the our freewill. We have a choice of being good or bad. Remember, religion has not failed us, it is humans that have failed religion.

Religion is used to divide and conquer nations.
Once a religion is established, people will die for they physical bodies so that their souls may live forever.
That is how extremists and religious militia are formed.
Now with people under control from a religious priest/holy man, they can control an army of people to conquer any nation thinking it's under the influence of God.
Simple. You make a good point in your statement.

Men don't blame God for war, only liberals do this.

Liberals are completely devoid of both reason and morality and will ALWAYS seek to blame others for their own behavior.

It's only natural that the blame-game becomes common behavior for them and a natural first response in any crisis.

As long as people need a scapegoat, they will blame God.

And as long as people feel a psychological need to bash religion because it teaches moral things they don't want to hear, they will blame God for problems that they pretend to care about.

But they don't really care about these problems -- they just use them as a club with which to hit God and religion.

It's sort of like the people who say that the Catholic Church should drop its ban on artificial contraception, and use "the poor" and "overpopulation" as their reason.

Of course, they're not seeking Church-approved contraception for the world's poor. They're seeking it for themselves.

You're right. I don't blame a "god" on how BRAINWASHED man's religions are. That's what happens when people take religious fiction WAY too seriously -- war and evil springs forth.
